Ahmad Samakie - Musician, Producer, Composer.
Ahmad has been performing for many years, playing in a wide range of settings. He is mainly a Pianist/Singer/Producer, but he also has experience in percussion and guitar. He has competed in high school band competitions across Ontario and has had a variety of solo/band performances in Guelph. He is an active member of the University of Guelph choir and was also featured in a production of Into the Woods as a dancer.
He has also spent much of his time creating music on the computer, ranging from covers of his favorite music to original compositions. His most recent cover is the Sonic CD BOSS theme, from an old 90s video game. He is also currently covering a few musical theatre numbers and some classic oldies. inspired by video game soundtracks such as Undertale, The Legend of Zelda, Cuphead, and Minecraft, and his favorite artists and musical theatre composers, he has dedicated much of his time to recreating music with his own touch, reinventing the instrumentation, and rethinking the harmonic texture. He has also dedicated time to creating new music that incorporates his favorite elements, such as modulation, chromaticism, and chiptune instrumentation (as seen in "ADVENTURE"). Along with dark themes and lyrics, contrasting musical ideas, and non-conventional endings (as seen in "Merci"). The last part can also be seen in Ahmad's descriptions of his original music on YouTube, as leaving cryptic text alluding to the music's meaning is a common theme.
